Commission

Jolly Good Velo is a cycling youtube channel run by Leonard Lee, who shares a refreshing outlook on riding a bike, and is a champion of inclusivity in cycling.

I was commissioned by Leonard to create a design for his line of merch. I set up a call with Leonard to chat through his ideas, requirements and to share any visuals that inspired him.

Leonard was very keen on the retro cycling style and the art of prolific cycling artist Micheal Valenti. Leonard also wanted his branded jersey included within the design. I took this feedback and presented back three concepts and moodboards.

 

With the final design chosen, I came up with a style that was fresh, but honourable to Leonards inspirations, and the art of Micheal Valenti.
