Kaku Pacha - Personal Project
Client:
Personal Project
Kaku Pacha is a personal project exploring the topics of burnout, rest, and the neurodivergent experience. It examines creativity as a tool for self-regulation and mindfulness.
What began as a daily doodling practice to cope with my dog’s cancer diagnosis evolved into a deeper exploration of self-regulation, reflecting on the "why" behind the work I do.
Over time, I discovered that my doodling was not only tied to calming my nervous system and helping me through hefty life transitions, but it was also a symptom of undiagnosed AuDHD. The act of creation became a vital tool during periods of dysregulation.
This discovery fueled my curiosity about how both creativity and our nervous system impact our daily lives, and how that connection shapes our rest and wellbeing needs. Through this lens, I came to see creativity as a powerful tool for managing dysregulation and fostering resilience.
This project aims to explore how mindful mischief and design can help neurodivergent individuals navigate overstimulation and find moments of calm in an overwhelming world.
If this project sounds interesting to you and you'd like to hear more, I'm actively seeking mentors, and I’d be super excited to connect. I am ambitious about the future and building a project that is rooted in a core human experience.
I’m particularly interested in hearing from:
Acoustic engineers
Industrial designers
Interior designers specialising in sensory friendly design
XR enthusiasts who would like to collaborate on wellbeing projects
Neurodivergent and somatic practitioners
