Kick Ass Cookies
Let's face it, making friends without leverage can be difficult. Moving away to a new city or starting a new job, how is best to secure yourself as ‘all round nice person’? Cookies. Cookies is always the answer.
As an avid baker and to reinforce the ‘all round nice person’ persona, I wanted to create a logo that reflected who I was - after all you've got to think of the target audience, right? So a mix of garishly bright colours, a splash of the undead (me before the morning coffee isn't a pretty sight) and casual swearing hit the spot.
The result was ‘Kick Ass Cookies’, because, well, the cookies were pretty kick ass, and so was I. Taking my cookie adventure one step further, I sent a box of my cookies, branded them after the chocolate brand ‘Beyond Dark’ and sent them to non other than James Nester and Graham Jenks, then Creative Directors of We Are Social. I successfully bribed them with cookies and soon after I accepted a position of biscuiteer/Designer.
I’m a multi-skilled designer with a passion for creating good things that bring people closer together. My ultimate career goal has always been to bring the audience to the forefront of everything that I do, spreading happiness and meaningful stories through engaging and memorable experiences, using design-thinking central in all my work. I have a particular interest in UX processes and human-centered-design methodologies to help aid in the creation of relevant solutions that matter.
I am also rather fond of doodling, pretending I am good at Instagram, cycling, motorbikes, skating, and dogs.
