Event Branding for Glion Institute of Higher Education

Glion Institute of Higher Education, a leader in luxury hospitality education, sought to elevate its brand presence through the "Art of Luxury Leadership" event, held in Geneva. The goal was to create an immersive experience that encapsulated Glion's commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership in the luxury hospitality sector.

Objectives

  • Reinforce Glion's position as a premier institution for luxury hospitality leadership through thoughtful and strategic branding.

  • Design event elements that resonate with Glion's brand values, providing attendees with a memorable and cohesive experience.

 

Process

  1. Trend research:

    • I compiled a luxury trend report which gave insights into authenticity, typography and artisanal craft being the driving force behind the industry. This formed the foundation to the visual direction of this project.

  2. Visual Identity Development:

    • I crafted a refined typographic logo incorporating findings from the trend research while ensuring alignment with Glion's brand ethos.

    • Selected a soft and sophisticated watercolour colour scheme and elegant typography to evoke and amplify feelings of luxury and prestige.

    • Commissioned an artist to paint the famous Bellvue Bar in Geneva which formed the key art, reflecting the look and feel of the event.

  3. Event Collateral Design:

    • Invitations and Stationery: Together with the visual identity I designed high-quality, tactile invitations and event stationery, as well as event schedules for guests and staff.

    • Signage and Displays: Rolled out the look and feel on banners, backdrops and interactive photo points at the event.

  4. Digital Integration:

    • Event Website and RSVP System: Designed a microsite that encompassed the event look and feel, as well as email invitations as part of a wider email campaign.

    • Social Media Graphics: Created shareable graphics and templates for social media platforms, promoting event awareness and engagement.
       

Outcome

  • Enhanced Brand Perception: The event's cohesive and luxurious branding reinforced Glion's reputation as a leader in luxury hospitality education.

  • Positive Attendee Feedback: Attendees praised the event's aesthetic coherence and immersive experience, with many expressing increased interest in Glion's programs.

  • Increased Brand Visibility: The event's branding extended beyond the venue, with social media shares and post-event content amplifying Glion's brand presence.

Conclusion
The "Art of Luxury Leadership" event successfully showcased Glion Institute of Higher Education's dedication to luxury, leadership, and excellence. Through meticulous branding and design, the event created a lasting impression on attendees, reinforcing Glion's position at the forefront of luxury hospitality education.
