Jellyfish Originals, an arm of Jellyfish Pictures focussed on original content, needed an identity that would fit in with its parent company, but also stand strongly as a individual brand.
Starting this process, I conducted a competitor audit, to get a visual understanding of what our competitors are doing, then ideating different routes from illustrative marques to monograms.
The impossible shape of the Jellyfish Pictures logo was a much loved brand marker among the Originals team, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to see how to graphically play with this optical illusion in a new form.
It was important to keep the typography consistent with the parent brand so due care and attention was put in to replicate the typographic style of the Jellyfish Pictures logo.
The final logo was integrated into all aspects of Jellyfish Originals, from co branded lock ups, to rolling credits.
